NAME :Samantha Porter
AGE: 40
Procedure: BREAST ENLARGEMENT

Hi,

My name is Sam. I’m 40 years old and live in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.
I hate pain, get queasy at the sight of blood and I’m terrified of flying! So, you’re probably wondering how I ended up at Elyzea in Brussels for breast enlargement!

Elyzea came highly recommended by my personal trainer at my local gym. Her and two others had both has the breast op. It wasn’t the price, which at £2,150 is unbelievable, my trainer recommended Elyzea because of the care and expertise of the staff, for the 2 or so hours that you are at Elyzea you are treated like royalty.

I arrived at Elyzea on Thursday 31st May ’07 for my consultation. I opted for the consultation and operation option that Elyzea offer, as London and Manchester are quite far away from where I live.
Pulling up outside Elyzea can be mistaken for a 5 star hotel. My taxi driver didn’t have a clue where it was and we ended up driving past it twice! My husband managed to get me through the door, as I was terrified. But once inside I was instantly made to feel welcome by a lovely lady on reception. I was taken to a waiting area and given some forms to read. I was so scared I can’t remember what they were!

There is no clinical hospital smell at Elyzea, the only giveaway that it’s actually a clinic is that there was a few surgeons walking about! I was called into a side room for my consultation and met my surgeon at 8:30am. She was absolutely fantastic. Dr Neuprez could see how nervous I was, as I had no idea what to expect but she was so patient and kind.

I remember seeing a lot of implant on her table and she let me hold one to feel what they were like. My own breast size was a 34A and I weigh 8st4. I’ve breast fed 2 babies and all I had left was 2 empty sacks of skin. I gave all trust to Dr Neuprez and I was too nervous to speak and all I wanted to do at that point was run out of the door! My doctor then decided on the size, she said 34D would look lovely and that a high profile implant would be perfect for my frame. She kept reassuring me that I had nothing to worry about and that I’d be fine. I was too nervous to believe her!

Dr Neuprez then showed me back to the waiting room and said my op would be at 10am. I had just half an hour to run away!!
10 o’clock soon came and I was taken to a lovely little bedroom to put on my gown. A nurse came to take a ‘before’ photo of my breasts and to draw lines over me ready for surgery. At this point I was looking for any means of escape! Doors, windows, anything! I had so much going on in my mind, things I could have spoken about to any nurse but I was just so frightened.

I was taken to the theatre at 10am. I can’t remember being happy at seeing Dr Neuprez in there, it took her and a male doctor a few attempts to get me in the correct position on the operating table! Fear again! I remember looking at the door and thinking “it’s still not too late Sam, just run!”.

Dr Neuprez then began painting me with an antibiotic cleaning solution; my trainer had warned me about this part as it’s absolutely freezing. The nice male doctor then explained he was putting me on a drip, he explained why but I really can’t remember. One of my biggest fears was getting put to sleep and I knew I was only seconds away from this part. Dr Neuprez was absolutely fantastic at this point. She began asking about my 2 children, names and ages…. Next thing I know, I was waking up!

Oh my God, it was over! All I could see was two big mounds in front of me. A nurse helped me sit up. It was just like waking up from normal sleep. I had no dizziness or sickness and no pain. I was back in my gown and wearing a very smart black sports bra. And I could also see a nice large pair of breasts looking up at me.

My husband joined me back in my room to collect my shopping list. Chocolate and water. I was starving! When he’d left, I jumped up, grabbed my make-up bag and hairbrush and went to sort myself in a bathroom. Well, with all the nice male surgeons walking about, a girl has to look half decent.

I felt fantastic, no pain, nothing… quite amazing, as I’d only just woken up! After a while I went to the reception to find how to pay my bill. The staff do not rush or pester you, they are truly fantastic. I was found by a truly fantastic lady. Very slim, short dark hair and glasses. I never got her name but I will remember her forever. She was wonderful; she sat and explained to me about my medication and aftercare. We laughed together over the state of my breasts on my ‘before’ photo and she kept saying how beautiful they are now. I’d never met this lady but for the time I was in her office she was my best friend. She went through everything with me from bathing to driving, she is a star!

What I’m going to tell you now is a pretty amazing part of my story.

On leaving Elyzea, the receptionist caught up with me outside and gave me a beautiful orchid in a plastic vase. To this day it’s still alive! We went for something to eat and a coffee, then back to the hotel for a sleep. I woke up about an hour later, still no pain or sickness. I had a little bath in about 3 inches of water, then had a lovely evening in Brussels. A nice meal in a restaurant then we hit the Belgian chocolate shops. Not bad, 6 hours after an operation. Then a lovely night’s sleep and up at 6:30am to catch our flight home.

When I woke all I had was a slight pain down the middle of my breasts. Not bad enough for pain killers. I was comfortable on the flight home, no pressure pains, just my fear of flying taking over!
The journey home was fine, no pain at all, the fear and stress I’d been having was draining away. On of the things I wanted to know and anyone who is considering this operation would probably want to know is: “does it hurt afterwards?”. Well, based on my experience, there is little pain. The closest I can describe the feeling is it’s just like before a period, when your breasts swell and become uncomfortable. If you use weights like I do, then it’s the same feeling you’d get if you’ve over done it. My nipple area was sensitive, especially when I felt cold but I just kept away from supermarket freezer departments for a week as that seemed to set it off!

The first week after surgery, I rested and took just a 10-day supply of antibiotics given to me by prescription at Elyzea. I mentioned at the beginning about getting queasy over the sight of blood so 4 days after my surgery I booked in to see my nurse and doctor to get my wounds cleaned. I was a bit weary about doing it myself. Well, in I went, laid down and the rest is quite remarkable. “Perfect text book surgery” they called it and perfect clean wounds and most amazingly, no stitches!! My surgeon had used surgical glue. My GP couldn’t believe it and another nurse was also called in to take a look. They also said the aftercare information given to me at Elyzea was fantastic and very impressive. It’s something not done in this country. Elyzea even give you a direct number to call your surgeon if you have any problems. That is truly amazing aftercare.

BEFORE AFTER

Two days later I went back to see my nurse. She removed the steri strips and quite unbelievable the wounds had already healed. Just 6 days after surgery; so not had I not had any pain, sickness or dizzy spells, I had now just been told I’d also have no scars! Dr Neuprez you are a genius.

Week 2 after surgery, I went back to work, did a bit of cardio in the gym and started driving again. I had been advised not to drive for about 5 days, that was the main thing I struggled with and closing the car door.

You must do what the staff at Elyzea tell you, finish all medication, cleanse the wounds with the medical cleaning solution, then use the sterilised water to keep the scars clean, you really can’t go wrong.  I’m now into week 5 after my surgery. I’ve had no pain and I still have the painkillers given to me at Elyzea. My breasts are now soft and perfect. I still have about 10 days of wearing the support bra but it’s not uncomfortable. Everyone I meet looks at them but I don’t look like I’ve had surgery, that’s the best bit!!

I can’t begin to say how brilliant my experience was at Elyzea. Everyone you meet in there is instantly your best friend. I think the best bit for me was not being told I was getting put sleep… it just happened (I still don’t know how they did it!).
The worst bit had to be being painted with the antiseptic cleaning solution. It was absolutely freezing!

Please anybody considering any kind of cosmetic surgery, give Elyzea a ring and speak to one of the girls. They’re all wonderful. If I can do it anyone any one can! When I think back to the state I was in that morning wanting to run out of the theatre. I now laugh to myself and look down at my breasts. It was all worth it and I’d go back just to say hello to the staff, that’s how nice they all are.

I recently spoke to someone who had a bad experience in this country, having had the operation that I had. She paid £5,000 and it’s all gone wrong. She wishes she’d heard of Elyzea. I hope that this clinic goes on to take over the world of cosmetic surgery! It really is the best but that’s because of the terrific professional staff, it’s them that make Elyzea the number one place to go for surgery.

Love to you all,

Sam Porter xx
