Showing photos of myself makes me very nervous.
But here I go.
I’ve always felt ashamed about my breasts. I’ve never had any, and that’s been why my love and sex life has always been such a failure. I quite simply never dared to bare myself to a boy!
I bought pills that were supposed to make my breasts bigger, but without success.
I was injected by a doctor in France, but without success.
Finally, I even wore a so-called miracle bra 24 hours a day. They promised me a beautiful B cup after 6 months.
This might all seem a bit naive but I was that desperate. Surgical intervention always seemed a last resort, mainly because of the cost.
And then, my salvation fell out of the sky. Would you believe that my dad offered to pay for my whole operation for my birthday!!
He had read an article in the Daily Mail about the ELYZEA hospital in Belgium offering surgery at much lower costs than those in Bristol in England.
If I were to decide to have the operation in Brussels, he and my mum would travel with me to Belgium. And that’s what happened. Two months after my consultation in London, the three of us spent two days in Brussels.
I had my operation on the 21st of June 2004. When I saw the results after surgery I cried like a baby. And I couldn’t stop crying.
Then I had some soreness for about a week. I wasn’t frightened because I had been forewarned. And I have to say that from beginning to end I had been so well informed and supported by the team because I wasn’t really an easy patient: squeamish, demanding and …downright awkward.
And the results? I’m absolutely spellbound!! Yesterday I went for a check-up in London and everything seemed perfect.
I’m not yet quite used to my new breasts, but I suppose this will take a bit of time!
But what a change they have made to my life!!
