I was back at work within the week.
Two months on from the operation, I feel fabulous. My legs
are half their size and I have lost 6in off my hips. I am
told the result will stay off pretty well permanently, because
the fat cells have been removed. People may say I did the
procedure for vanity, but self-image is a complex thing and
now when I look in the mirror, at half the person I used to
be, I feel great!

Hi,
My name is Beverley, and I live in London. For years I battled with low self-esteem because of my size.
I was the classic British pear shape – relatively slim
on top, but up to
a size 16 in trousers. By the time I was 30 it was becoming
an obsession.
I work in Brussels a lot and discovered a cosmetic surgery
company called ELYZEA, with branches in Belgium and London. I was amazed
to find a big difference in the cost of surgery between the two. I
had been toying with the idea because I was feeling so desperate, but discovering
how much cheaper it could be abroad was the deciding factor.
To begin with, I went to see a consultant in Harley Street
and told him

At the clinic in London, the surgeon talked me through what

immediately,but the full effect would take at least three months. I had
the consultation with him in February, and at the beginning of April I took
the train to
Brussels. In Brussels, everything went smoothly. The nurses and all
the staff
were really fantastic and very professional. In the operating
room I
was bathed in black and yellow disinfectant and had a local
anaesthetic
with a sedation. The whole procedure took two hours. I lay
quietly for a
few hours and then they eased me into what looked like a black
elastic
body stocking.
I had to wear it day and night for the first week, even showering
in it.
I stayed in the clinic for a day and then at a hotel in Brussels
for 1 night.
