For years I tried all sorts of diets and medication.

I also went to a slimming club.

Every time I lost weight, it all came back on and more!

I was so unhappy. I carried all that weight around with me. I wasn’t very nice to look at.

Then one day I watched a T.V. programme about being overweight.

It said that the problem had become so severe that the government is currently trying to raise awareness of this major issue amongst GPs.

In the same programme, a doctor talked about GASTRIC BANDING surgery that has had a lot of success in Europe and the United States.

The procedure looked simple and risk-free.

I then came in contact with 2 people here who had had it done. They had both gone to Belgium for it because it was 50% cheaper there than here.

They were very enthusiastic about the operation, having lost 7 stone and stone in one year.

So I arranged my first consultation and was instantly impressed by the surgeon at the ELYZEA clinic who had already performed more than 1,000 gastric banding operations.

I must also tell you that my GP had heard that quite a few surgeons were being taught this technique by Dr Focquet.

But anyway, I wanted the teacher to do the operation, not the students!!

Dr Focquet operated on me on the 9th of December 2003 in the ELYZEA clinic. To start with, the banding is put in place without tightening it. So in the first 5 weeks I hardly lost any weight. But as soon as the first adjustment was made, I well and truly made up for it! I lost 2 stone in the first 3 months, and 5 stone in the first 6 months. By then my weight had dropped to 12 stone.

I lost the last stone over the following 2 months to reach my target weight of 11 stone.

My life has really changed thanks to the ELYZEA clinic and GASTRIC BANDING.

Even my blood tests and cholesterol levels are normal again.

I am a new person starting a new life.

Of course, I have changed the way I eat because I realise that this will determine whether or not I put weight on.

I do lots of exercise, something I didn’t do before. I keep getting compliments from everyone. We’re going on holiday in a couple of weeks. It will be the first time I can show myself in a bikini!

So yes, if you read this story and want to lose weight, then give this procedure some proper thought. You no longer have to think about being on a diet for the rest of your life, and the end results will completely change your life – everyone around you will say so too.
