Your Stay
A face lift does not require an overnight stay at the clinic. Thus, it is treated as a day-case. Patients leave the clinic in their own time on the day of the procedure.

Post-op
For the first eight to ten days following a face lift, the face is invariably swollen and bruised. However, this disappears relatively quickly. The face regains it’s natural and youthful contour two to three weeks later.
Following surgery, it is quite normal to feel tightening and pulling of the skin around the area treated.

Resuming Daily Activities
Patients may start to apply light make-up (eye make-up, lipstick and foundation) after about ten days following surgery. Patients may resume their daily activities after about fifteen days.
Avoid sun exposure for at least two months following the face lift.

Results
The final results are fully visible after two to three months.
Although a face lift makes patients look eight to ten years younger in the space of a couple of hours, it can never completely restore the face you once had – this is because it is not only your skin and muscles that change with age, but also the bone structure (jaw and cheek bones) which of course is not affected by the surgery.
A face lift can be repeated two to three times in a lifetime.
