Are there any post-operative guidelines I need to follow?
Yes. During the first few days after surgery you will need to rest well. Do not hesitate to accept help with your household chores (even vacuum cleaning should be avoided during the first week).
To give your new breasts maximum support and reduce the swelling to a minimum, we advise you to wear a special support bra for 3 to 4 weeks. And finally, we advise you to take things very easy, not to lift anything heavy and to limit yourself to light exercise during the first month.
You will also sleep more comfortably on your back or side.
Are breast implants for life?
ELYZEA Cosmetic Surgery only uses implants of the highest quality. They do not need to be changed or replaced.
Can I breast-feed after breast enlargement ?
Certainly. You will have no problems at all breast-feeding your baby after your breast enlargement.
Should I be worried about silicone ?
No, absolutely not. First all studies show that silicone is not carcinogenic and that no link exists between silicone implants and auto-immune diseases. At ELYZEA Cosmetic Surgery only cohesive gel implants of the highest quality are used and as they are made of cohesive gel are rupture free and will never leak.
Are there any risks or complications ?
Any possible risks and complications are discussed with you during your first consultation. Breast enlargement is a safe procedure and complications occur only rarely.
Breast enlargement involves a risk of possible capsular contracture (this is when scar-like tissue, that forms as a lining around the implant, contracts causing the breast to harden). Ten years ago, there was a 30% chance of this happening. With the type of currently used,implant this is reduced to 1 to 2%.
If capsular contracture occurs in the three years following surgery, ELYZEA shall bear the cost of the implants.
Are there any alternative ways of enlarging my breast ?
No. Cosmetic surgery is the only way of permanently enlarging your breasts. Other methods, such as creams, hormones or massage, are ineffective.
How do I know which implants are best for me ?
You will be able to choose the size and shape of your implants. This is one of the main aims of the first consultation. The surgeon will calculate the necessary volume of the implants in order to obtain the desired shape, size and outcome.
Some women have a certain size and fullness in mind that is not in proportion with the rest of their body. Many women focus only on the cup size although this should not be the only consideration. The distance between the breasts can also
be reduced and the breasts enlarged in harmony with the general body shape.

for example, is important in achieving a beautiful cleavage and breast shape in balance with your hips. With some types of implants, such as the anatomic implants, the surgeon can fill out your breasts without overfilling the upper part of your breasts.
Are there any restrictive factors ?

After how long before I may resume sexual activities ?
It is generally advised to refrain from any strenuous physical activity for three weeks following surgery. You shall feel when the time is right.
Can breast enlargement be carried out in summer time ?
Breast enlargement can be done throughout the year. The inconvenience may be that during the hotter months of the year, perspiration is more frequent, especially with the surgical bra on. However, this does not influence the procedure or subsequent results.
Are mammographies still possible after breast enlargement ?
Breast enlargement does not interfere with mammography screening. It is important to inform the radiologist that you have breast implants and the necessary precautions shall be taken.
